Wesley United Methodist Church at Frederica, an 1100 member church on St. Simons Island, Georgia, is searching for a full-time director of youth ministries and contemporary worship. We are seeking an outgoing, creative and energetic individual to lead our exciting youth ministry of over 115+ total youth (6th-12th grades) with average attendance of 70. Working together with the assistant youth director, other Wesley staff, and the youth ministry team, this individual will lead the overall youth ministry of Wesley church from visioning, planning, implementing, recruiting/training volunteers, to evaluation of the overall ministry and how it connects with ministry of Wesley church in the world. This individual will also become the primary worship leader for our contemporary worship service leading the praise band and coordinating worship elements in the service with the senior pastor and director of music ministries.
Wesley is seeking strong candidates with a passion for making disciples, a love for youth, and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers. Bachelor’s degree is required, at least 3-years experience directing youth ministries in the local church, proven effectiveness and success in leading contemporary worship, and success in recruiting and training volunteers. Salary is commensurate with experience including a variety of benefits.

Bethel United Methodist Church in Stockbridge, Georgia is seeking a passionate and faith-filled part-time Children’s Minister to serve a growing and culturally diverse community. Qualified candidate must be an active Christian and have experience in planning for and working with children. Position would require approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, but would vary according to special events. The Children’s Ministry Director would be responsible for recruiting teachers and volunteers for various children’s programs and activities, leading Children’s Church each Sunday, and planning and leading special events based on the needs of the children of the church, including planning and supervision of outreach activities into the community, summer day camps and Vacation Bible School. Walnut Grove UMC in Loganville, Georgia, is searching for a Youth Group Summer Intern. Our Youth Group averages 14 teens, in grades 6 through 12. We meet in our Family Life Center every Sunday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm, and we need some help for the summer!
The ideal person will be someone who can connect with our predominately male population (10 boys!), will have some experience in UM Youth Ministry and will be currently enrolled or have recently completed Seminary.
