Bethel United Methodist Church in Stockbridge, Georgia is seeking a passionate and faith-filled part-time Children’s Minister to serve a growing and culturally diverse community. Qualified candidate must be an active Christian and have experience in planning for and working with children. Position would require approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, but would vary according to special events. The Children’s Ministry Director would be responsible for recruiting teachers and volunteers for various children’s programs and activities, leading Children’s Church each Sunday, and planning and leading special events based on the needs of the children of the church, including planning and supervision of outreach activities into the community, summer day camps and Vacation Bible School. The Children’s Ministry Director will work with the Children’s Ministry Committee to develop a weekly Children’s program in addition to the weekly Sunday School program (on Sunday evenings and/or Wednesday evenings) and establishing the annual Children’s Ministry budget. This is a part-time position, reporting to the Senior Pastor, and applicants should possess strong spiritual leadership, communication skills, and relational skills with both parents and children.
